Land Float

Eatonville's "Candy Land" won the award for best
float among communities under ten thousand.
Float leader Dawn Newkirk outfitted seven characters,
including
King
Kandy, Queen Frostine,
Princess Lolly, Gramma Nutt, Mister
Mint, and two kids. The
milk chocolate frosted roof of the gingerbread house was made of brown burlap.
Dawn cleverly created the huge ice cream cones using clothes dryer flex
hoses. The float also featured
a game
board (the colorful squares).

men, lollipops, ice cream cones, candy canes - Eatonville had the sweetest float
in this year's parade. Unfortunately the Cruiser band did not appear in
Sumner in front of ENN's cameras. The band did not attend the Orting part of the
parade either
