~ ~ ~ CROWD Appeals Superior Court Ruling CROWD (Concerned Residents on Waste Disposal) has file an appeal with the Court of Appeals against Superior Court Judge Karen Strombom's August 2001 decision that State Senate Bill 5729 was not applicable to the 304th St. dump in Graham. CROWD is holding a public meeting (see Coming Events) to discuss the latest legal challenge and the recent dumping, at the site, of DDT and PCB contaminates from the dredging of the Blair Waterway in Tacoma. According to CROWD this has been done, "with the blessings of our Health Department. They have decided these contaminates are not harmful for the dump but too contaminated to leave in Commencement Bay."
