“A Cup of Comfort,” the top-selling book
series featuring true stories about the extraordinary experiences of
“ordinary” people is seeking true stories for a new book, “A Cup of
Comfort for Christmas.” Editor Colleen Sell says she’s, “Back on the
Cup of Comfort story safari” and invites all writers, “aspiring and
experienced” to submit stories. The Christmas edition will feature
“stories that celebrate the spirit of giving, the joy of sharing, the
heart of the holiday, and those cherished memories of Christmases past and
present.
“This is a
paid and bylined opportunity to share from-the-heart, slice-of-life,
creative non-fiction stories in a critically acclaimed and popular
mass-market book. Stories must be uplifting, in English, based on real
people and events and 1000 to 2000 words in length.”
The grand prize is $500
and other published stories are $100 each. Stories must be submitted by
December 15, 2002. Direct queries, requests for writer’s guidelines and
