Eatonville Police Report (Nov. 1 – 15, 2002)

November 2 – Someone stole several colored runway markers at the airport.

November 3 – A 23-year-old Lakewood man was arrested on a drug related warrant. He was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and DWLS. The suspect was stopped for driving at night without headlights on. A records check disclosed he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for possession of drugs and that his license was suspended. The suspect was arrested and a search of his car disclosed a glass smoking pipe. The suspect was transported and booked into PC Jail. His vehicle was impounded.

November 4 – Two juvenile boys were charged with assaulting each other after they got into a fight at the high school. Case to Remann Hall.

November 4 – A juvenile girl was charged with assaulting another girl at the high school. Case to Remann Hall.

November 4 – A 42-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for DWLS. The suspect's vehicle license was run on an in-car computer and it showed the registered owner of the car had a suspended license. The car was stopped and the driver was asked to produce his license. The suspect said he didn’t have one that he only had an ID card. The suspect was arrested for DWLS. His vehicle was impounded.

November 5 – A 24-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for DWLS and for possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer saw the suspect driving and knew from prior contacts that his license was suspected. An in-car computer check verified his license was still suspended. The suspect was stopped and he was arrested. A search of the car disclosed a glass smoking pipe. He was then arrested on the paraphernalia charge. His vehicle was impounded

November 8 – A 31-year-old Roy man was arrested by Puyallup Police on an Eatonville Municipal Court warrant for DWLS 1st degree. The suspect was held at the Puyallup City jail until he was picked up by an Eatonville officer and booked into PC jail.

November 9 – A BMX type bike was found in a yard in the 100 block of Rainier Ave W. The bike was taken as found property and placed in the bike impoundment yard.

November 12 – An officer was dispatched to the 45500 block of SR 7 on a reported vehicle on fire. The vehicle’s owner said the wheel bearing locked up, and as he was loading it onto a trailer the hot bearing ignited a leaking gas line causing the truck to catch on fire. Fire department personnel put the fire out.

November 12 – An 18-year-old high school student was arrested for MIP. School officials contacted the student after they detected the smell of intoxicants on him. Police were contacted and the suspect who appeared intoxicated was arrested for MIP. The suspect admitted he had used “Ten High” whiskey to make himself some eggnog and had put the mixture in a pop bottle. The suspect was cited and released.

November 13 – An Eatonville high school student reported that a juvenile girl had slapped him in the face. The girl then allegedly threatened to have her boyfriend put him in a body bag. The girl was charged with assault and the report was forwarded to Remann Hall for review and possible criminal charging.

November 13 – There was a bomb threat at the high school. The suspect had scratched a note on a girl’s bathroom stall that said there was a bomb at the school. The school was evacuated and searched. No bomb was found.

November 13 – A juvenile boy was charged with reckless driving and malicious mischief 2nd degree. The suspect drove his vehicle on the grass in Glacier View Park causing about $537.50 in damages. Several boys who were with him at the park may be charged with obstructing a police officer. They told the investigating officer they did not know who the suspect was. The suspect said he knew all the other boys, and they knew him and he was doing the “donuts” because they were egging him on. Case to Remann Hall for review and possible criminal charging.

November 13 – A middle school student reported someone had stolen her cell phone from her unsecured gym bag while she was at soccer practice.

November 14 – A car was impounded after someone pushed it into the roadway blocking the eastbound lane of Alder Street. The owner of the vehicle may be charged with abandoning a junk vehicle if or when she is found.

November 14 – A juvenile girl was reported as a runaway.

November 15 – Another bomb threat was reported at the high school. This time someone wrote several bomb threats in two girl’s restroom in the south hall. Police have several leads and are following up on them. Investigation continues.

November 15 – A 20-year-old Eatonville man was arrested on felony warrants for theft 1st degree and theft of a firearm. He was later arrested when a pot pipe was found in his pocket. The suspect was booked into PC Jail.

 

Eatonville Police Report (Nov. 16 - 27, 2002)

November 16 – A juvenile girl was arrested on outstanding warrants issued by Remann Hall and as a runaway. She was booked into Remann Hall.

November 16 – A 23-year-old Eatonville man reported that someone had broken into his house and stolen a .45 caliber semi-auto pistol along with other items of personal property. The victim was positive his nephew, a 16-year-old boy, was involved. However, he did not have any proof. On November 20th the stolen .45 pistol was returned to the owner. The juvenile suspect who had allegedly stolen the pistol is currently in Remann Hall. He will probably be charged with the burglary after he is interviewed at Remann Hall.

November 17 – A 23-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for assaulting a 16-year-old girl and for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect had gone to the residence of the girl looking for his nephew. When the girl told him he wasn’t there he reportedly pushed her onto the ground. The suspect was arrested and during a search a pot pipe was found. He was transported and booked into PC Jail.

November 17 – A 22-year-old Puyallup man was arrested for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and DWLS. The suspect was stopped when he arrived at the above fight. The arresting officer smelled intoxicants on the driver and he appeared intoxicated. He was arrested and during a search a pot pipe was found. A records check disclosed that his license was suspended. He was later transported to the police department where he agreed to a breath test. The results were .157 and .162. The suspect was cited and released. His vehicle was impounded. A 9mm rifle was taken from the vehicle and kept for safekeeping.

November 18 – A 27-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for DWLS, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was stopped for defective equipment. A records check disclosed that his license was suspended. The suspect was arrested and during a search of his vehicle a plastic bag of marijuana was found along with a pot pipe. A 7mm-magnum rifle was taken from the vehicle and kept for safekeeping. The suspect was cited and released. His vehicle was impounded.

November 19 – The Mill Town Chevron reported a gas runout.

November 20 – A juvenile boy was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Remann Hall. He was booked into Remann Hall.

November 21 - Someone broke into the water pump house.

November 21 – A 36-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested for criminal trespass. A 41-year-old Eatonville man reported that he had just left the Eatonville Municipal Court on a domestic violence charge. The judge ordered that he has no contact with the woman involved. The man said he left court and walked home. When he entered the residence he noticed a bag of cereal on the TV stand and knew it hadn’t been there when he left. He walked back to his bedroom and saw the woman he had been ordered to stay away from sleeping in his bed. He reported this to police. The arresting officer proceeded to the residence and arrested the suspect. She was transported to the police department cited and later released.

November 21 – A 26-year-old Eatonville woman reported someone had entered her unsecured vehicle and took a leather jacket.

November 21 – A 29-year-old McKenna woman reported someone entered her unsecured vehicle and stole her wallet.

November 22 – A 19-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested on a Puyallup warrant for theft. An officer was dispatched to the Rainier Apartments on a reported disturbance. Witnesses said a male who was in one of the apartments kept sticking his head out the window and yelling. The officer contacted the apartment renter. The suspect became uncooperative. The arresting officer knowing that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, arrested her. She was transported and booked into Puyallup City Jail.

November 22 – A 19-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for MIP. During a DUI Emphasis patrol an officer observed a vehicle driving in the alley between Rainier Ave and Mashell Ave without headlights. The officer watched as the vehicle entered Mashell Ave. still without lights. He stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver. The driver, a 21-year-old Sequim man, had been drinking but was not intoxicated. The passenger however appeared to be intoxicated. The passenger agreed to take a breath test and failed. The suspect was cited and released.

November 25 – Someone broke into three storage units and stole about $3000.00 worth of property.

November 25 – An Eatonville man reported someone had stolen a battery from his front-end loader he had parked on his property.

November 25 – A 47-year-old Eatonville man was charged with malicious mischief after he was observed pouring beer on a car and scratching the car’s paint job. He was cited and released. Case to prosecutor for review and possible criminal charging.

November 27 – A 40-year-old Eatonville woman was listed as a missing person. She apparently left the residence sometime during the night abandoning her 10-year-old daughter who was left home alone. The child ‘s grandparents were contacted and took custody of the child. A copy of the report was sent to CPS.
