The car, a white 1982 Ford Mustang was taken from a garage where it was being stored on property owned by Coldwell Banker. The 1974 RV, white with gold stripes, was taken from Benbow Drive East where it was being kept. The owner of the two vehicles was under home monitoring and had been involved in a fatal hit and run accident on June 9. After investigating, PC sheriffs and detectives found the owner had lied about when he purchased the Mustang, and asked the person he bought the car from to falsify a new bill of sale. The case is now under investigation for fraud.

Assault - July 9: A "supplemental" report of domestic violence was sent by sheriff's deputies to Pierce County Prosecutors and the Domestic Violence Unit after a woman was struck on the head by her husband, age 55, of Lillie Dale Road in Eatonville. The woman seemed to feel she had been the cause of her husband's violent outburst as they had been arguing about finances. She did not press charges against him, feeling that doing so would put the family in further financial difficulty.
