a home in Ashford where she had been storing an RV. Forcing her way past the
resident's small children, she assaulted a 12-year-old boy with a blunt
object, leaving him with "apparent broken bones and bruising" and
took various items valuing approximately $2,000.00 from the property.
Burglary - Between July 6 - 9 a Honda trail bike, two Trek
mountain bicycles, a Skill saw and Black & Decker drill were stolen from
a residence on Christensen Muck Road East. The unknown suspects entered the
home through an unlocked door while the residents were away camping.
Vehicle Theft/Burglary/Forced Entry/Possible Fraud - July 7
a resident of State Game Road in Eatonville was the victim of a car and RV
trailer theft. The car, a white 1982 Ford Mustang was taken from a garage
where it was being stored on property owned by Coldwell Banker. The 1974 RV,
white with gold stripes, was taken from Benbow Drive East where it was being
kept. The owner of the two vehicles was under home monitoring and had been
involved in a fatal hit and run accident on June 9. After investigating, PC
sheriffs and detectives found the owner had lied about when he purchased the
Mustang, and asked the person he bought the car from to falsify a new bill
of sale. The case is now under investigation for fraud.
Vandalism Of Property - July 7: A satellite dish was
vandalized at the Rocky Point Campground in Elbe. After running the
registration on the suspect's vehicle, a blue 1994 Ford Taurus Wagon, it was
found that he had used a false name when registering at the campground.
Vehicles Vandalized - July 7: Three vehicles were
vandalized at a residence on 251st Street East in Graham. Tires were
slashed, deflated and windows smashed on a passenger van, car and a truck,
after a woman, accompanied two males, went to the property in an attempt to
take her daughter from what she called "a drug environment".
No arrests were made.
Criminal Trespass - July 7: Two officers from the
Eatonville Police Department and a sheriff's deputy were called to a vacant
residence on Orville Road East in Kapowsin. An unknown white male in a
hooded sweatshirt had been observed coming and going from the home and was
suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine. Upon inspection of the home
officers found a sleeping bag and several empty containers of alcohol but
determined that the man had not been manufacturing drugs.
Theft From Motor Vehicle - July 10: A Pioneer CD car
stereo, Nintendo video game with accessories, CD's and a wallet were stolen
from a car parked at a home on 275th Street East in Graham. The unknown
suspects entered the car through a sliding rear window.
Assault - July 9: A "supplemental" report of
domestic violence was sent by sheriff's deputies to Pierce County
Prosecutors and the Domestic Violence Unit after a woman was struck on the
head by her husband, age 55, of Lillie Dale Road in Eatonville. The woman
seemed to feel she had been the cause of her husband's violent outburst as
they had been arguing about finances. She did not press charges against him,
feeling that doing so would put the family in further financial difficulty.
