Eatonville Police Report (May 2 - 31, 2008)

May 2 – A 37-year-old Eatonville woman was involuntary committed for a mental health evaluation after she stated to police she was going to kill herself with an overdose of prescription medication. She was transported to Puget Sound Hospital.

May 2 – An officer assisted PCSO deputies with a suicidal male at Alder Lake.

May 3 – A 77-year-old Eatonville man reported someone stole an 18” Craftsman chainsaw from his storage shed at 104 Madison Ave S.

May 5 – A 23-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer saw the suspect driving in the 100 block of Mashell Ave N. The officer knew the driver from previous contacts and knew he didn’t have a driver’s license. The vehicle was stopped and the driver arrested. He was cited and released.

May 6 – An Eatonville High School girl reported an unknown male took her camera from her purse and ran. No one knew who this person was.

May 6 – A 37-year-old Eatonville man was charged with harboring a vicious animal after his dogs chased and mauled a deer to the point it had to be destroyed.

May 6 – A 68-year-old Eatonville man was charged with allowing an unlicensed person to drive in a reckless manner. The citing officer saw the suspect’s vehicle spinning around in circles inside Smallwood Park. The vehicle was stopped the suspect admitted he had allowed his 14-year-old grandson drive the car. The suspect was cited and released.

May 7 – A 14-year-old Puyallup boy was taken into custody as a runaway. He was later transported and released to his mother.

May 7 – A 31-year-old Eatonville woman reported she had been receiving about 50 to 60 harassing phone calls from her ex-husband. A report was written.

May 7 – A 22-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer saw the suspect driving in the 300 block of Mashell Ave S with defective tail lights. She was stopped and a records check showed her driver’s license was suspended 2nd degree for a felony involving a motor vehicle. She was cited and later released.

May 8 – Someone damaged a screen to a window at the LDS Church.

May 9 - A teenage high school boy was charged with assaulting another boy at the school. A report was sent to Remann Hall Prosecutor for review.

May 9 – Three middle school boys were charged with possession of marijuana and possible possession of Psilocybin mushrooms. A report was sent to Remann Hall Prosecutor for review and criminal charging.

May 9 – A 31-year-old Eatonville woman reported two middle school boys had put “Clear Eyes” in her son’s salad while they were at lunch. The two boys started laughing and told him what they had done. The boy said he became sick and reported the incident to school officials and his mother. Poison Control was called and the active ingredient in Clear Eyes can cause serious medical problems depending on how much was eaten. A case was sent to Remann Hall Prosecutor for review.

May 9 – A 21-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested on an Eatonville Municipal Court Warrant for her arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also arrested for felony possession of drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was stopped in the 300 block of Washington Ave N. The arresting officer already knew she had the warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody and during a search of her vehicle felony drugs were found as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was transported and booked into PC Jail.

May 11 – A 24-year-old Puyallup man was arrested for possession of a loaded pistol in a vehicle, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was stopped in the 100 block of Washington Ave N for speeding 65 MPH in posted 50 MPH zone on SR161. The driver was asked if he had any weapons inside the vehicle. He said he had a rifle. Another officer saw the driver trying to stuff something in between the front seat and the console. The driver was asked to get out of the vehicle and a search of the vehicle revealed a pot pipe, some marijuana and a loaded 9mm pistol. The driver was arrested, cited and later released.

May 16 – Officers were dispatched to the Forrest Ridge Estates to assist PCSO deputies in arresting a suspect in a domestic violence case.

May 16 – A 59-year-old Federal Way man was involuntary committed for his own safety. The suspect was stopped on SR161 near Campbell Lane because he was driving erratically. A record check showed he was listed as a missing person out of Federal Way and was suffering from Alzheimer’s and had just had a heart attack last week. Officers were unable to contact any relatives so he was transported to Good Sam Hospital.

May 17 – Officers were dispatched to the Eatonville Towing impoundment yard on an alarm. As an officer turned into the yard he saw a person jump the fence and run northeast. Deputies and a K-9 were dispatched. An area check was conducted but they were unable to locate the suspect.

May 17 – Officers were notified two men were parked at the Walker Road gate and were cutting the lock off with a hacksaw. The suspects were detained and released to PCSO deputies.

May 19 – A 25-year-old Eatonville man reported someone had taken items of personal property from his apartment and had cut a padlock from his storage room and removed other property. He suspected his ex-wife and her new boyfriend.

May 19 – A 48-year-old Eatonville man reported someone entered his residence and stole a Dell Lap Top computer valued at $1,500.

May 22 – A 65-year-old Eatonville woman reported someone had used her debit card to purchase three airline tickets.

May 22 – A 39-year-old Eatonville man reported his 41-year-old ex-wife had taken their teenage daughter in violation of a court order and refused to bring her back. The woman was charged with felony custodian interference and a report was sent to the PC Prosecutor for review and criminal charging.

May 24 – Someone forced entry into a female restroom at the Eatonville High School Football Field.

May 24 – An officer saw what he thought was a rolling domestic assault at Washington Ave N and Center St. The officer saw a female trying to get out of the car as the driver was driving of. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants admitted they had a verbal argument. A report was written as required by law.

May 25 – Officers were called to an address in the 200 block of Orchard Ave N on a verbal domestic. The occupants have an extremely long history of verbal and physical assaults on each other. This time they were arguing over his alleged meth use. A report was written as required by law.

May 25 – A 19-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the suspect in the 800 block of Eatonville Highway for speeding 37 MPH in a posted 25 MPH zone. A records check showed his license was suspended for unpaid tickets. He was arrested, cited and later released.

May 25 – A 75-year-old Eatonville woman reported someone stole her mail box from the 300 block of Antonie Ave N.

May 26 – A 56-year-old Elbe man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana. The arresting officer stopped the suspect in the 300 block of Washington Ave N for defective lighting. A records check showed his license was suspended for unpaid tickets. He was arrested and during a search of his vehicle a baggy of marijuana and a home made smoking device were found. The suspect was cited and later released.

May 27 – A teenage high school boy was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of a pot pipe. He was arrested and later transported to the police station where he was released to his mother.

May 28 – A 48-year-old Eatonville man reported someone gained access to his debit card number and had made purchases against the card.

May 30 – A 45-year-old Eatonville woman reported someone stole her car CD player while the car was parked in a parking lot in the 200 block of Center St E.

May 30 – Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Rainier Ave N on a reported domestic disturbance between a man and woman. It appears they were having a loud conversation over their children’s birthday party plans. They were told to go home and discuss this. A report was written as required by law.

May 30 –A 17-year-old Tacoma boy was arrested for minor in possession and consumption of alcohol. The boy was stopped for trespassing in the boxcar canyon. He was obvious intoxicated. He was transported to the police station where he was later released to his older sister. A report was sent to Remann Hall for review and criminal charging.

May 30 – A teenage boy was arrested for domestic violence assault after he grabbed his girlfriend by the arm leaving red marks. He was later transported and booked into Remann Hall as required by law.

May 31 – A 16-year-old Puyallup boy was charged with failure to yield the right of way at an intersection. The boy was southbound on Washington Ave S; as he approached the intersection with Larsen St E he didn’t yield the right of way to a vehicle that was rounding the curve. No one was injured however both vehicles sustained major damages.

  Eatonville Police Report (April 1 - 30, 2008)

April 1 – A 45-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The suspect was stopped for speeding in the 800 block of Eatonville Highway. A records check showed the driver had a suspended license for a prior DUI. She was arrested, cited and later released.

April 1 – A 47-year-old Eatonville woman reported someone was stealing checks out of her Eatonville Post Office box by unknown means. A copy of the report has been sent to the US Postal Inspector’s Office.

April 2 – A person turned over knives that were reportedly used in a double homicide in Tacoma. A report has been sent to Tacoma Police Department.

April 3 – Someone broke the window at Azul Island Spa located at 207 Center St E causing about $200 in damages.

April 4 – A 26-year-old Eatonville man reported someone had stole the cover to his boat valued at $800. The man said the boat top cover was red in color and the last time he saw it was leaning up against his garage in the 100 block of Penn Ave N.

April 5 – An officer was called to the parking lot of Plaza Market on a two car collision. There was conflicting statements as to what occurred and no witnesses. Both parties were given a case number and told to contact their insurance companies.

April 5 – A stolen vehicle was recovered by Eatonville Towing at a residence on the Ohop Valley Rd E. PCSO was notified of the recovery.

April 7 – A stolen motor vehicle was recovered by Eatonville Towing on DNR land. A records check showed the vehicle was stolen from Tacoma. The owner has been contacted.

April 7 – A 62-year-old Eatonville woman called to report that her 90-year-old mother had been scammed out of $394.64 by a Telemarketer. The company involved was contacted and they are attempting to reimburse the victim.

April 8 – This office is investigating an alleged rape that occurred at two different locations and on two different dates. 

April 9 – A 64-year-old Eatonville man reported someone broke into his storage unit at the Ohop Valley Storage and stole about $500 in alcohol, a glass front cabinet and a comforter.

April 9 – A 52-year-old Eatonville woman was involuntarily committed after she called Pierce County Crisis and told them she was going to kill herself. She was transported to Puget Sound Hospital for a mental evaluation.

April 10 – Someone at the high school used a lighter to melt a portion of the toilet paper dispenser in one of the restrooms.

April 10 – An officer assisted WSP on a one car traffic accident in the 41800 block of SR161. It appears the 55-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle and struck an embankment.

April 12 – An officer on patrol in the area of the Baptist Church at 825 Eatonville Highway found a blue sports bag. Inside the bag were two pellet guns. Also in the bag was a pair of jeans, socks and a sleeping bag. The items were placed in evidence as found property.

April 12 – A 47-year-old Eatonville man was charged with domestic violence assault after his live-in girlfriend reported he assaulted her two days ago. A report was sent to the prosecutor for review and possible criminal charging.

April 13 – A 31-year-old Eatonville man was stopped at the intersection of Eatonville Highway and SR 7 for running a stop sign. A records check showed he had a suspended license for unpaid tickets. He was arrested, cited and released.

April 15 – A 28-year-old Eatonville woman reported her car stolen. It was later determined that she had attempted to report the vehicle stolen on 04/15/2008 and an investigation determined that she had sold the vehicle to someone who wrecked it and then refused to pay her the rest of the money. She was told this was a civil matter and not a police matter. She apparently didn’t like the answer and reported the same incident to another officer omitting the fact she sold the car. The vehicle will be removed as a stolen vehicle. The woman may be charged with false reporting.

April 17 – Officers were dispatched to a reported domestic dispute. It turned out to be a verbal argument only. A report was written as required by law.

April 18 – A 48-year-old Kent man reported someone slashed a tire on his vehicle. The tire was inspected and it looked like the tire had dry rotted and not cut. Case closed.

April 18 – Several juveniles were involved in a fight. Four of them were later charged with assault and a fifth person was charged with intimidating a witness. A report was sent to Remann Hall for review.

April 19 – Three juveniles were charged with possession of fireworks after officer were called in reference to kids throwing fireworks in a trash can catching it on fire. A report was sent to Remann Hall for review.

April 19 – A 23-year-old Eatonville woman reported she had been receiving harassing text messages on her cell phone from a 31-year-old man in New York. New York State Police were called and agreed to go to the suspect’s house and tell him to knock it off. He must have gotten the message because the victim hasn’t complained of further harassment.

April 21 – An officer was called out for an alarm at Sorensen’s Auto Center. The alarm turned out to be false.

April 22 – An officer was dispatched to a reported fight in the Mill Village RV Park. It turned out two women were involved in a pushing match. They were told to stay away from each other. No charges were filed.

April 22 – Someone broke out the windows in several pieces of heavy equipment parked in an area behind Hammner Springs.

April 24 – The Eatonville woman who reported she had been raped on April 8, 2008 was charged with making two false police reports. A report has been sent to the prosecutor for criminal charging.

April 24 – A 46-year-old Eatonville man died of apparent natural causes.

April 24 – A 19 year old Eatonville woman and juvenile were arrested for harassment and obstructing a public servant after they threatened another juvenile.  The officer asked about a possible 3rd suspect both responded with obscenities.  The 19 y/o suspect was arrested for obstruction and placed in the police vehicle while the officer questioned the juvenile.  The officer then arrested the juvenile when she appeared to pull away and cock her arm back and ball her hand into a fist in an attempt to assault the officer all the while yelling obscenities.  She was handcuffed and placed in the patrol car.  The juvenile was charged additionally with resisting arrest and assault of a public officer.  Both were released.  A report has been sent to the prosecutor for criminal charging.

April 24 – A woman filed a report of assault on her son that happened on the 23rd.  When victim and suspect were questioned it appeared that this was a “re-match” of a previous fight.  Both juveniles mutually agreed to fight.  A report was sent to the prosecutor for charging both with assault.

April 25 – A woman filed a report of theft of prescription medication from her unsecure residence.   She was advised to change her locks and secure her home in the future to prevent possible thefts.

April 25 – A report was filed on a female suspect who cashed two checks on a closed account. Pending further investigation

April 26 – A 22-year-old female complained that her boyfriend assaulted her at a Puyallup address.  PPD took that report. The victim asked that we help her to get her wallet from the suspect.  The wallet was returned.

April 28 – Officers recovered a stolen vehicle out of Tacoma, in Mill Village Park.

April 28 – A juvenile reported that her IPOD Nano was stolen at school.  No suspects at this time.

April 28 – An officer responded to a verbal domestic dispute.  The victim was offered assistance in finding a temporary place to stay if she felt unsafe.  She refused.

April 29 – Officers were dispatched to an apartment fire caused by a faulty stove. Damage was estimated at about $5,000.

April 29 – An officer responded to a complaint at Williams Court of vehicle prowl/theft from an unsecure vehicle.  A laptop computer and camera were stolen.  No suspects at this time.

April 30 – A 36-year-old female was involuntarily committed to Good Sam Hospital after she made threats to harm herself.

April 30 – A 37-year-old female was voluntarily committed to Good Sam Hospital after she made threats to harm herself.

  Eatonville Police Report (Feb. 3 - 29, 2008)

February 3rd – A 26 year old female was charged with malicious mischief. This case has been forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

 

February 6th - A 46 year old male was stopped and arrested for DWLS 3rd degree. A 52 year old female passenger was arrested from the vehicle for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of dangerous weapons.

 

February 7th – A 45 year old male reported a theft of 2 mountain bikes that were later found and recovered.

 

February 8th – A 28 year old male called and reported an incident of malicious mischief to his residence. There are no suspects in this case.

 

February 8th – An Eatonville Officer assisted the Washington State Patrol with a motor vehicle collision in the 41800 blk of S/R 161.

 

February 8th – A 15 year old juvenile was listed as a runaway. She returned home 6 days later.

 

February 8th – An Eatonville Officer was dispatched to an address in town for a neighbor dispute.

 

February 9th – A juvenile female was listed as a runaway. She returned home a few hours later.

 

February 10th – A 31 year old male reported a case of identity theft that had occurred on or about 01/30/08.

 

February 11th – A 30 year old male was arrested and booked into Pierce County Jail on the charges of theft of a motor vehicle, DWLS 2nd degree, and indecent exposure.

 

February 12th – A 51 year old male was stopped and cited for DWLS 3rd degree. Case forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

 

February 13th – A 55 year old female contacted the Eatonville Police to report a possible fraud case.

 

February 14th – A Juvenile female was charged with possession of stolen property while at the middle school. This case has been forwarded to the Remann Hall Prosecutor for review and charges.

 

February 18th – A juvenile female made a complaint to the Eatonville Police Department of harassment from 3 juvenile males.

 

February 19th – A 37 year old female was arrested for an outstanding Pierce County warrant. She was later released from custody as Pierce County would not book her on the charge.

 

February 20th – A juvenile female was listed as a runaway. She was later cleared from the system on 3/20/08.

 

February 21st – A complaint was made from the Eatonville School District of an arson complaint. There are no suspects in this case.

 

February 22nd – A 61 year old male came into the office to file a complaint of a UIBC report. A report was submitted to the Eatonville Prosecutor for review and charges filed in this case.

 

February 22nd – A 25 year old male was stopped for a traffic infraction and later charged with ignition interlock requirement. Report forwarded to the Eatonville Prosecutor for review.

 

February 22nd – A 30 year old male was stopped for a traffic infraction and later arrested for felon in possession of firearm. The subject was booked into the Pierce County Jail.

 

February 23rd – A 40 year old male was arrested and booked into Pierce County Jail for felony harassment and residential burglary. This case was later remanded to Eatonville Municipal Court.

 

February 25th – A 47 year old man was accused of taking a motor vehicle without permission. A report  was filed with the Pierce County Superior Court Prosecutor for theft 1st degree.

 

February 26th – A report was made to the Eatonville Police Department of an attempted burglary at the Glacier View Park. ACO Tera Pine found that the door to the kitchen area had been kicked to the point that the door was bent. There are no suspects in this case.

 

February 27th – A Complaint of an attempted arson was reported to the Eatonville Police Department in the area of 201 Carter St E. It was later determined that the fire was a result of a juvenile smoking behind the building. No criminal intent was found.

 

February 27th – A 34year old female was stopped and later arrested for DWLS 3rd degree. She was cited and released from the scene.

 

February 28th – A juvenile female was contacted and charged with theft 3rd degree at the Eatonville Middle School. Report was forwarded to the Riemann Hall Prosecutor for review and charges.

 

February 28th – A complaint of criminal trespass came into the Eatonville Police Department from the Eatonville School District. A report was sent to the Remann hall Prosecutor for review and charges against a juvenile male.

 

February 29th – A 36year old female was cited for filing a false report of a crime. The report was submitted to the Eatonville Municipal Court Prosecutor for review and charges.

 

February 29th – An Eatonville Officer assisted Eatonville Fire with a medical aid call involving 2 juvenile females.

 

February 29th – A report of a fraud/theft case came into the Eatonville Police Department. Some unknown person had used the victim’s credit card without their permission. There are no suspects in this case at this time.

 

February 29th – A report of a non-injury 2 car collision came into the Eatonville Police Department.

  Eatonville Police Report (Jan. 2 - 30, 2008)

January 2 – A 31-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle. The arresting officer saw a vehicle northbound on Washington Ave N. He ran the license plate on his in car computer. The records check showed the registered owner had a suspended license. The vehicle was stopped. The 20-year-old driver did not have a driver’s license. The driver said her aunt sent her on an errand knowing she didn’t have a license. When the registered owner arrived she was arrested, cited and later released.

January 3 – Officers were called to the Eatonville High School when a janitor reported he saw someone climbing over the fence surrounding the school. An area check was conducted but the suspect could not be found. Nothing appeared to be missing or damaged.

January 3 – A 23-year-old Eatonville man was arrested on a Felony no bail warrant for his arrest for escape from community custody and for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by a Sheriff’s deputy for failing to yield. An Eatonville officer who was training a new officer requested to take the suspect on the warrant for training purposes. The suspect was arrested on the warrant, searched and placed in the back of their patrol car. Upon arrival at PC jail he was stripped searched and somewhere on his body a glass meth pipe was found. The suspect was then charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

January 4 – A 46-year-old Port Orchard woman was charged with violating an order for protection. The victim called to report she had received an electronic phone message on her telecommunication device for the hearing impaired. The message was threatening in nature and was a clear violation of the protection order. A report was sent to the prosecutor for review and criminal charging.

January 7 – A teenage middle school boy was arrested and booked into Remann Hall after he threatened to kill a teacher.

January 7 – An officer was involved in a pursuit of a suspect who eluded the officer. The officer first saw the suspect’s vehicle in the 200 block of Mashell Ave N and noticed the vehicle had no tail lights. When he tried to stop the vehicle the driver fled at a high rate of speed. When speeds reached 80 MPH the officer terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. A witness later called to report the suspect’s vehicle was abandoned near Pack Forest. A search of the area was conducted however, the driver was not found. The vehicle was impounded.

January 10 – A 20-year-old Spanaway woman reported someone had used her Key Bank debit card number and had made purchases totaling $1,444.35.

January 11 – Two teenage boys were arrested for theft and malicious mischief. The two boys stole a can of coffee and a bottle of soda from the Youth Center on Mashell Ave N. They then went outside and threw the coffee all over a picnic table and on the ground. They then sprayed the soda all around. Both suspect were trespassed from the Youth Center and later released to their parents.

January 11 – An 18-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two juvenile boys were also charged with trespassing however, one of the boys was also charged with possession of marijuana. The arresting officer while on patrol in Smallwood Park saw a vehicle parked inside the park after dark which is a violation of the Eatonville Municipal Code. The officer saw two suspects walking from behind a tree. When he looks where they were standing he found a pot pipe and a lighter. All three were detained and during a search of one of the boys a baggy of marijuana was found inside his pocket. All three suspects were released to parents.

January 12 – Officers were dispatched to an accident scene at SR7 at Ohop Valley Extension Rd to assist fire department personnel with a one car collision with a person trapped inside. The driver, a 45-year-old Eatonville woman was trapped behind the wheel of the vehicle and very upset that police had been called. When she was freed from the vehicle she appeared to be intoxicated. When WSP arrived the driver was arrested for DUI.

January 13 – Someone broke into two storage units at the Mill Village Storage. It’s unclear if anything was taken.

January 17 – A 28-year-old Eatonville man reported someone had stolen his bike from his residence  in the 100 block of Cedar Ave S.

January 19 –A 56-year-old Eatonville woman reported someone had hit her car while it was parked in the 500 block of Eatonville Highway.

January 19 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Center St W on a child custody incident. A 52-year-old woman refused to give her daughter back her two children stating she feared for their safety and that her daughter was living with her boyfriend and a roommate who wouldn’t allow her to have her children in the home. Pierce County Prosecutor’s were called as well as CPS. The conclusion was the daughter needed to go to court and get a court order to obtain her children. A report was sent to the PC prosecutor for review.

January 19 – A 37-year-old Eatonville man reported someone had stolen two Stihl chain saws from the back of his truck while it was parked in the back parking lot at the Blue Moon Pub.

January 22 – A teenage boy was arrested after he threatened another boy with a pocket knife. A third teenage boy got mad at the first boy for threatening his friend so he went to his house and assaulted him. During the scuffle a window was broken causing about $250 in damage. The third boy was charged with assault and malicious mischief. A report was sent to Remann Hall prosecutor for review and possible criminal charging.

January 23 – A 28-year-old Sumner man reported a man driving a black Dodge Ram pickup truck drove up onto the sidewalk in the 200 block of Mashell Ave S and struck a generator being used on a construction site. The driver of truck got out and started yelling at the construction crew but left before officers arrived. Damages to the generator were estimated to be about $1000.  

January 25 – An officer was dispatched to the high school on a sex crime case involving two students. A report was sent to Remann Hall prosecutor for review.

January 25 – A 27-year-old Bremerton man was arrested for DUI. The suspect was stopped for speeding 73MPH in a posted 50MPH zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver appeared to be intoxicated. He was given a field sobriety test and failed. He was arrested and transported to the station for a breath test. The results were .86 and .88. He was cited and released.

January 26 – Officers were dispatched to SR161 and Hwy 7 on a one car roll over accident. WSP Troopers were busy with other weather related accidents so our officer handled the case. The driver a 24-year-old Spokane woman lost control of her vehicle on the ice and rolled her car. She was not injured.

January 26 – A 36-year-old Puyallup man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the suspect in the 41800 block of SR161 for speeding 65MPH in a posted 50MPH zone. A records check showed the driver had a suspended license for unpaid tickets. He was arrested cited and released.

January 27 – A injured owl had to be destroyed after it was run over by a car.

January 28 – A 30-year-old Eatonville woman was found to be at fault in a two car collision at the Mill Town Shell Station.

January 29 – A 77-year-old Eatonville man reported that while he was in the hospital someone entered his residence and stole a .38 caliber pistol, his wallet and three sets of keys. There was no forced entry into the home. He has identified a possible suspect.

January 29 – Officers served a restraining order to a person living in Eatonville.

January 30 – A 44-year-old Graham man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the suspect in the 200 block of Washington Ave N for expired tabs. A records check showed the driver had a suspended license for code enforcement child support. He was arrested, cited and released.

January 30 – A 54-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer saw the suspect driving in the 300 block of Center St E. A records check showed the driver had a suspended license for DUI and he was required to have an ignition interlock device on any car he drives. He was arrested, cited and released.

  Eatonville Police Report (Dec. 2 - 14, 2007)

December 2 –A 46-year-old University Place man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the man in the 300 block of Center St E after a records check showed the vehicle owner had a suspended license. The records check also showed he had five warrants for his arrest all for driving with a suspended license. He was transported and booked into Fife City Jail. His vehicle was impounded.

December 3 – A 24-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the suspect for speeding in the area of SR161 and Ski Park Rd. A records checked showed the driver had a suspended license for unpaid tickets. He was arrested, cited and later released.

December 3 – A 36-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the suspect in the 100 block of Berggren Rd for operating a vehicle with no tail lights. A records check showed the driver had a suspended license for child support enforcement and he had a warrant for domestic violence assault out of Everett PD. The suspect was arrested, cited and later released after Everett PD declined to pick him up.

December 4 – A 40-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested for DUI, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a firearm. The arresting officer stopped the suspect after she failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Center St and Washington Ave. The suspect when contacted smelled strongly of intoxicants and appeared intoxicated. The suspect agreed to take a field sobriety test and failed all tests given. She was arrested and placed in the back of a patrol car. A search of the suspect’s vehicle was conducted and inside was a baggy of marijuana, a glass smoking device and a .22 caliber revolver. The officer also found a baggy with meth inside his patrol car where the suspect was sitting. She was transported to the station for a breath test. The results were .152 and .172. She was later transported and booked into PC Jail.

December 5 – A 22-year-old Puyallup man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the suspect in the 100 block of Washington Ave for speeding. A records check disclosed his license was suspended for unpaid tickets. He was arrested, cited and later released.

December 5 – A 36-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer saw the suspect driving in the 500 block of Center St. He ran the vehicle license plates on his in car computer. The records check showed the registered owner had a suspended license for unpaid tickets. He was stopped, arrested, cited and later released.

December 7 – Someone set a fire in a portable restroom at the Eatonville High School using piles of paper towels. Luckily a teacher entered the restroom and put the fire out before the building caught on fire. This is the second fire started in the restrooms in the past two months during school hours. The Pierce County Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted and a deputy Fire Marshal is investigating the fire along with the Eatonville Police Department.

December 7 – A 12-year-old middle school boy was charged with tampering with a fire alarm after he deliberately pulled the fire alarm causing the middle school and the high school to be evacuated. The boy was released to the custody of his mother. The boy is not a suspect in the fire at the high school.

December 7 – A 58-year-old Eatonville woman reported she had received a letter and a check for  $4,800 telling her she was a sweepstakes winner. The victim was to deposit the check and send $3,700 to a person identified in the letter. The woman fell for the scam and deposited the check and sent a money gram. She was later notified by Key Bank the check was not good.

December 8 – A teenage boy was issued a criminal trespass order preventing him from coming onto the property of a neighbor.

December 9 – An 18-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arresting officer stopped the suspect in the 100 block of Mashell Ave after observing him driving in an erratic manner. The driver appeared to have been drinking. He was arrested and during a search of his vehicle marijuana and a pot pipe were found. The suspect was cited and released. His vehicle was impounded.

December 9 – Officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at 815 Eatonville Hwy for a domestic dispute. The incident was verbal only. A report was written as required by law.

December 9 – A 23-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer saw the suspect driving in the 200 block of Washington Ave. The vehicle was stopped because the vehicle’s license plate could not be read. A records check showed the driver had a suspended license in the 2nd degree for a felony involving a motor vehicle. The suspect was arrested, cited and later released.

December 10 – Officers were dispatched to an address in the 800 block of Center St for a domestic dispute. The incident was verbal only. A report was written as required by law.

December 10 – A 37-year-old Eatonville man was charged with malicious mischief. The suspect who may have some mental issues got carried away after playing video games and began stabbing the wall at his residence with a folding knife. The suspect cut himself quite badly when the knife closed on his hand. He was cited and released.

December 11 – A 28-year-old Yelm woman was arrested by Yelm Police on an Eatonville Municipal Court warrant for her arrest for driving with a suspended license 1st degree. She was turned over to an Eatonville officer who transported and booked into PC Jail.

December 12 – Officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at 815 Eatonville Hwy on a domestic dispute. The incident was verbal only. A report was written as required by law.

December 12 – A 33-year-old Ashford man was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The arresting officer stopped the suspect after a records check showed the registered owner had a suspended license for unpaid tickets. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was the owner. He was arrested, cited and later released.

December 12 – A 30-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for malicious mischief. Officers were called to the apartment complex at 815 Eatonville Hwy on a domestic dispute. The suspect was mad at his live in girlfriend because she had an affair with another man. He picked up their TV and threw it, busted a large hole in the bedroom door and broke a dresser mirror. He was arrested and later transported to Fife City Jail. The jail refused to take him for medical reasons so his boss agreed to let him stay the night with him.

December 12 – A 45-year-old Eatonville man reported someone had thrown a rock from the hill in the 300 block of Mashell Ave cracking his windshield.

December 13 – Officers were dispatched to the area of Mountain Hwy and Silver Lake Rd to assist WSP with a one car collision.

December 14 – A 38-year-old Eatonville woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The suspect was stopped for speeding in the 800 block of SR161. A records check showed her license was suspended for unpaid tickets. She was cited and later released.  

December 15 — A juvenile boy was charged with threats after he pulled a knife and a box cutter out of his pocket and threatened other kids. A report was sent to Remann Hall prosecutor for review and possible criminal charging.

December 16 — A 20-year-old Auburn man was arrested for minor in possession/consumption of alcohol. The arresting officer noticed the suspect driving southbound on SR 161 doing 19 MPH in a posted 50 MPH zone. The officer followed the vehicle and watch as the driver hugged the center line all the way into Eatonville. The

vehicle was stopped and the driver contacted. The officer said he smelled the strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle. The driver agreed to take a field sobriety test and failed all tests given. Because there was no certified breath test operators on duty, the driver couldn't be given a breath test and was not charged with DUI. He was cited and released. His vehicle was impounded.

December 19 — A 70-year-old Seattle man was found to be at fault in a two car collision in the 200 block of Washington Ave N. The suspect while pulling out of a parking space struck the left rear fender of a parked car. Damages to suspect's vehicle were extensive. The other car sustained about $1000 damages.

December 19 — A 20-year-old Eatonville woman returning home to her residence in the 200 block of Fir Ave N saw a group of about six people running out the back door of the residence. The suspects got into two vehicles and speed away. She immediately called police who responded within minutes. The officers entered the residence and were overwhelmed by the strong odor of burning marijuana and the place was in shambles. A female witnesses, who was in the vehicle with the homeowner was able to get one of the vehicles license numbers. A search of the house was conducted and in a bedroom rented by a 21-year-old man and his live-in girlfriend, a baggy of marijuana and a digital scale were found. The man was later charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The renter was not home at the time of the burglary and said he had not given anyone permission to be there. A records check on the license plate came back to a Sumner address. The owner was contacted and said her granddaughter was driving the car. The driver was later identified as an 18-year-old Eatonville woman who is know by town police officers. She was contacted at an apartment at Barney's Corner. She denied any involvement in the burglary but admitted she had parked her car in the area of the residence and left with a friend in another vehicle. The homeowner and her witness

said they could positively identify the two women seen running from the residence. A photo montage is being prepared. Investigation continues.

December 23 — A 47-year-old Mossyrock, Man was arrested for driving with a suspended license.The arresting officer saw the suspect driving in the 200 block of Washington Ave N. He ran the vehicles' license plate on his in car computer. The records check showed the owner had a suspended license for "Admin Perse." The vehicle was stopped and the driver was the owner. He was arrested, cited and later released.

December 26 — A 48-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and for possession of drug paraphernalia. The arresting officer saw the suspect driving in the 200 block of Washington Ave N. and noticed the vehicle's license Tabs had expired in October 2007. A computer check verified the tabs had expired. The vehicle was stopped and the driver contacted. A records check showed the driver had a

suspended license and had two prior arrests for driving with a suspended license plus he had a outstanding warrant for his arrest for driving with a suspended license out of Chehalis, WA. The suspect was arrested and during a search of his vehicle multiple items of drug paraphernalia were found as well as a loaded 9mm pistol. The suspect was arrested for the drug paraphernalia. The suspect did have a concealed weapons permit.

The pistol was booked into the evidence room for safekeeping. He was later transported and booked into Fife City jail.

December 28 — Officers were dispatched to an address in the 200 block of Madison Ave S. for a civil standby.

  Eatonville Police Report (Nov. 4 - 29, 2007)

November 4 – An 88-year-old Eatonville man died of apparent natural causes.

November 6 – A 32-year-old Tacoma man was charged with violating a protection order.  The man’s 25-year-old estranged wife said he called threatening her which was a violation of a court order. A report was sent to the prosecutor for review and criminal charging.

November 8 – A teenage high school boy was arrested for possession of marijuana. School staff was told that the boy was in possession of marijuana. He was searched and inside his backpack was a cloth bag containing some marijuana. He was arrested at the school and transported to the police station where he was later released to his father. A report was sent to Remann Hall prosecutor for criminal charging.

November 10 – A 49-year-old Eatonville man was found to be at fault in a two-car collision at the intersection of Center St and Washington Ave. The driver of a pickup truck backed up to go around a stalled vehicle and didn’t see a van stopped behind him. No one was injured in the accident.

November 10 – A water pipe and a bong were seized from a residence in the 200 block of Fir Ave N. An officer was called to the residence after a female living there returned home from a three week absence and found two pot pipes in what once was her daughter’s bedroom. The woman said she suspected her live-in boyfriend moved someone into the room during her absence. The pipes were seized. It turned out that the boyfriend had moved a 21-year-old man and his girlfriend into the room to share in the house rent.

November 11 – A middle school boy has been charged with sexually assaulting (unwanted touching) several teenage girls. A case has been sent to Remann Hall prosecutors for review and criminal charging.

November 13 – A 15-year-old Eatonville girl was reported as a runaway.

November 15 – An Eatonville woman reported that her son had been assaulted by another boy at the middle school yesterday. Investigation continues.

November 15 – This office investigated a reported fraud case. It was determined to be unfounded.

November 16 – A 53-year-old Eatonville woman reported someone had used her debit card and made about $10,000 in on-line purchases.

November 17 – A 22-year-old Eatonville man was charged with attempted murder after he tried to kill his 20-year-old live-in girlfriend. The suspect who lives in the 200 block of Fir Ave N got into a verbal altercation with his girlfriend. The altercation escalated and the man began beating the woman. When he began choking her and tried to snap her neck, a room mate hit him in the head several times with a metal object in an attempt to make him let the woman go. When the woman broke free she ran to the police station for help. The suspect was transported to Tacoma General Hospital and admitted when they discovered he had a fractured skull with a blood clot on the brain. On November 20, 2007 the suspect was released from the hospital and booked into PC Jail. The woman sustained multiple cuts, scrapes and bruises.   

November 19 – A 75-year-old Eatonville woman died of apparent natural causes.

November 21 – A 15-year-old Eatonville girl was reported as a runaway. The girl was later found by officers at a home on Lynch Creek Rd. She was taken into custody and later released to her mother.

November 25 – A 22-year-old Tacoma man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arresting officer stopped the suspect after he failed to stop at the stop sign at Washington and Center Street. A record check showed the driver had a suspended license for unpaid tickets. He was arrested and during a search of his car a pot pipe was found. The suspect admitted the pipe was his and he uses it to smoke marijuana. The suspect was cited and later released. The suspect’s vehicle was released to a passenger with a valid license.

November 26 – A teenage middle school girl was arrested at school on a Remann Hall warrant for her arrest. She was transported and booked into Remann Hall.

November 29 – A 26-year-old Eatonville man was arrested for domestic violence assault. The suspect and his live-in girlfriend became involved in a verbal argument which soon escalated to a physical altercation. The suspect reportedly grabbed his girlfriend by the shoulders and pushed her into the wall. The suspect was arrested and booked into Fife City Jail.
