Town
Government
Jean.....
Who ever you are, seems you struck a nerve of the whole
town. You speak the truth...Are they going to hike the
Utility Tax????
NEW trucks for the town workers - NEW office (oh yea...the
Mayor paid for it - NOT) - they are going to fence Glacier
Park, so what good is the park then if you can't get in??? -
NEW lawnmower, have you seen it in action, I certainly
haven't!!! SPENT....SPEND.....SPEND!
I did see it once on a trailer going up to the Mayor's
house...hmmmmm!

Change
in town government
The reason you see so many changes or "New
Versions" of the same old 'lets change the town
government' on eatonvillecitizens.com, is because they CAN'T
get enough signatures to satisify the auditor's office. The
people of Eatonville voted down this issue twice within the
last 8 years.
You would think they would get a clue, but no they keep
having to shove THEIR point of view down all of our
throats....
The citizens don't want this LEAVE US ALONE! GO AWAY.
If you want to change anything, do it with your vote at the
next election - vote for responsibility in your local
government and look to those council members who
consistently voice their concerns and speak out against
those who would spend our town into bankruptsy! Those
council members are speaking out for a reason - LISTEN
CAREFULLY TO THEM!
I am going to vote for responsibility in my local government
and I can tell you now it won't be for Harper - Gallagher or
Jumper they are puppets for the current irresponsible -
spend the money -Mayor!

city
government
Why would we want to change the 'form' of government in
Eatonville? The same result would happen only 'more' of the
wrong people would be running it. And how long does a
petition have to be passed around before you get enough
signatures to use it?

Is
it not about time to start a new poll?
The readers of ENN have spoken, they would like the town to
change government type by an overwhelming margin.

Change
in Town Government
I haven't heard much lately about the change to a Code City
form of government. Are those who wanted this issue before
the people not getting enough signatures for their issue to
be placed upon the ballot? It would seem to be the best time
for this type of issue is during a Presidential election
year when the draw from the voting public is at it's
greatest.
Those who say you would have more say in a Code City are
mistaken...I work for a code city and the citizens DO NOT
have more say, they have LESS.
What ever you do, make an informed decition based upon your
own research and I will support the decision you the
citizens make - which ever way it should turn out.

Government
I hear you. I was put on the Council by the PEOPLE of
Eatonville, and if you the citizens do not want this - then
you must let me know. I am here for YOU the citizens not the
special interest groups. Eatonville is ALL of us not just a
select few.

Eatonville
government
I agree with the other people who commented. People don't
trust the local government but many people are afraid to let
them change anything because they are afraid the current
government will stack the deck with more special interest
people. They probably already have a person picked out for
the council. Probably a person who will be a yes man.

Government
People do not trust the government that is in charge. It is
not for the general citizen it is driven by development.
Code City would mean moe power for them. They have a lot of
people on there that are connected to developers or
development. They fight putting people on that would not
represent the rest of the population. Haven't they figured
out why people are so concerned about it.

Town
Government
Two short years ago the Citizens of Eatonville voted
overwhelmingly NOT to change its form of government. A
selective few are forcing their point of view on the whole.
If this is something that they want, then raise the money to
put it on the ballot and allow the people their voice. DO
NOT allow the Council to vote this in to being just because
"They can". And - the Council can do this!
I used my nickname because the group forcing the code city
issue is not to be trusted.
I have lived in Eatonville for 50 years.
