Town Sign Ordinance Letter...
December 11, 2007
Dear Business Owner;
Town records
indicate that you have unpermitted signage for your business. All
permanent (and some
temporary) exterior business identification signs located within the
town require a sign permit.
This letter is to notify you that your business's signage is in
violation of section 18.06 of the
Eatonville Municipal Code. You are hereby provided with notice in
accordance with EMC 18.10
to apply for a sign permit for your illegal conforming signs and to
remove your illegal nonconforming
signs prior to February 28 th, 2008. A failure to comply with this
order will result in
the issuance of a civil penalty in accordance with EMC 18.10.018.
If you have received this letter in error, please contact our office
so that we can correct our records.
Prior to contacting the town, it may be helpful if you can provide
copies of any permits which
may have been issued for your signage and to provide us with the
date on which your signage
was erected.
We have enclosed a sign permit application. Please go to the town's
website to view the recently adopted
sign ordinance so that you may determine whether your sign(s) meet(s)
the requirements of
section 18.06 of the EMC prior to applying for a sign permit. *The
